Saturday 4th April 2020.MEETING CANCELLED DUE TO COVID 19 SITUATION. Derry Watkins ‘Derelict Hill Farm to garden – in a year or two or twenty’ Owner of Special Plant Nursery.  Plants for sale. Visits during 2020 are published below.

All meetings are held at the The Weatherley Centre, Eagle Farm Road, Biggleswade, Beds SG188JH commencing at 2.00p.m.  Visitors are welcome to all meetings, a small charge is applied.

Zoom Meetings.

To participate in the Zoom lecture you will need to download the zoom app to your computer, tablet or I-phone. The app is free and can be downloaded from the zoom website or apple apps and is very easy to do. Once you have installed the zoom app you will need an ID number and password to join the meeting. These can be obtained by emailing our speaker organiser, Chris Strachan, who will be co-hosting the meeting with the speaker. Her email address is:

Chris also has more information from the speakers about how the meeting will proceed. Non –members of our group will be most welcome to participate.

There will of course be a fee payable to the speaker for the lecture. We would be grateful if you could make a contribution of £3 towards this. We decided the easiest way to pay would be by bank transfer. Chris will supply details.


Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire Hardy Plant Society Outings and Plant Sales 2020.

Sunday 10th May 2020. Annual Plant Sale held at The Weatherley Centre, Eagle Farm Road, Biggleswade, Beds SG188JH commencing at 10.00am and closing at 2.00p.m.  All welcome, free entry and refreshments will also be available. Plant sale postponed due to Corona virus.  

Wednesday 24th June 2020.  This is a coach outing to two gardens in Drinkstone, Suffolk.  A light lunch and refreshments will be provided. Trip cancelled due to Corona Virus.

Sunday 19th July 2020.  Day trip by coach to Chenies Manor Plant Fair and Ayletts Nursery/Celebration Garden. Trip cancelled due to Corona Virus.

Thursday 13th August 2020.  Day trip by coach to Feeringbury Manor, Perrywoods Nursery and Langthorns Plantery, Essex. Trip cancelled due to Corona Virus.

Booking for all of these trips are currently being taken. They are proving very popular.  Full details at our next meeting in January 2020.
